And the brother who skiied into a tree. And the niece who OD'ed this summer. Not to mention the uncle who was assassinated and the cousin whose plane went down, and the uncle and aunt who likewise died in airplane crashes.
Things like this, lives lost chasing after a rubber ball or something similar, happened a century or two ago and earlier, but at least the families of those who died had the consolation that people it wasn’t considered acceptable to ridicule the deceased for dying in foolish ways.
I don't know if that's true or not. Roosevelt had other people advising him who were more closer and more trusted. Joe Kennedy did get the British government to take in some of the refugees on the ship.
Some died in war.
#11. Don’t worry. Kathleen will use all these tragedies in her next political campaign for some forsaken government position. She’s that ambitious and callous.
If the Dems take the governorship next time, she’s in like Flint. She’ll have the “sympathy vote” from the sheeple.
As for the victims of this tragedy, RIP.
Amen.
I have it in my head that they think they’re impervious to the standard dangers that lesser mortals such as we succumb to.
Absolutely! And wearing them helps even more! (Some folks will have them, because they’re required, but not wear them.)
The Kennedy gene pool sure has a difficult time with common everyday situations.
Well, there aren’t many left to feel that way. They’re a vanishing breed.
Dating one puts your life af risk, too.
My 1st cousin in the Delaware, about 10 years ago now. They never found him either. My condolences.
When my son went to one of those Boy Scout camps a couple of decade ago (the trips where they don’t call home and go on dangerous hikes) I gave him ONE rule:
“You are not in trouble if you lose your glasses, etc. Do not retrieve any lost items when you are hiking. There is not one thing you are bringing that is worth your life. It can all be replaced.”
Best advice I ever gave, there were two fatal accidents at that park, that week.
Almost all of them self-inflicted. Low IQ and arrogance is a dangerous combination.
prayers for all...
Indeed. She's so bad that even with the name Kennedy she lost the governor's race to a Republican in the Peoples' Republic of Maryland of all places. I was not sorry for her loss that day, but am sorry for her loss this day.
beautifully said......
RFK, 32 grandchildren, 30 remain.
11 children, 9 living.
Ethel is 91, lives on Cape Cod. Another sad funeral for her
RIP.
I think you have hit the correct answer. The South River at Shadyside is wide and right at the Chesapeake Bay. The water is very cold now. The wind was blowing up to 40 mph from the northeast. They never had a chance. There are some rules that a pply to all of us.
