Great photo.
Did they ban the guy with the camera?
They don’t mind where she stood. The problem is the “tone” of her questions and the fact she’s a minority.

She complied with the distance????
This is from the cited article
This suggests that the overall clinical consequences of Covid-19 may ultimately be more akin to those of a severe seasonal influenza (which has a case fatality rate of approximately 0.1%) or a pandemic influenza (similar to those in 1957 and 1968)...And OANN just editorially added the .28% which is the official fatality percentages of those two pandemics.
So, not a lie, just good reporting although perhaps a slight bit over your head.
Look... I understand Oann’s popularity here and I watch it too. But she was out of compliance to the agreed on measures regarding seating and standing during these briefings as well as her distancing.
Has nothing to do with her tone or questions. If it had been Acosta standing there we'd be all over him for breaking the rules.
“She complied with the distance????”
Your photo on #62 shows she complied as much as the rest. Check out the standing photographers.
Trump specifically called on her. He knows her on sight.
Trump rules supercede WHCA rules.
Face it. They don’t like her for a variety of reasons, if you’ve been following the Show. Any excuse will do.
“If it had been Acosta standing there we’d be all over him for breaking the rules.”
That’s true, but they would supply him a portable seat and a cool drink.
When Acosta broke the rules of decorum a while back, the WHCA fought Trump for his return. He was a hero.
In case you haven’t noticed, this is war.
“This room belongs to the President and his Press Secretary, so maybe they should ban the White House Correspondents’ Association until they apologize to OANN, Rion, and the White House.”
You are right on the money!
It doesn’t matter if Trump called on her or not or if she’s liked or not by other reporters..... It had everything to do with what ‘all the reporters agreed together’ and the WHCA put together to protect the reporters and the President etc during the briefings.
Th camera people are assigned to stand in the back or the sides as well, obviously to get the shots they need standing.
I will say if I knew I wasn’t popular among my peers I sure as heck would make certain not to break the protocal/rules ‘agreed on’, especially being a New News organization early on in the game....all the more if I knew I was “special” to the President.
If that club wanted me as a member, I wouldn’t want to be a part of it.
The story goes that they have limited seating now or something and OAN lost a seat. They were told to follow guidelines for social distancing if they had no seat. They claim the OAN reporter violated rules and they told her what to do but she did not follow procedures. So they voted to ban ban her and her network.
Cut CNN from the rotation permanently...and give a permanent seat to OANN. CNN consistently refuse to provide any substantive reason for their presence other than being contrary and is doubtful that they provide coverage of the briefings on their channel in a manner that removes their own reporters from the “story”.
You raise a valid point. It may not be GOP vs Rats when this is all over. It could be government employees vs everyone else. Ugly.
press ping
Why does such an association even exist? Particularly when it is used to deny equal access in the WH?
Your own photos show she complied with distancing herself, and she as invited to be there. So she gets a pass on both counts. Maybe if reporters stopped being the enemy of America, they’ll get to be invited as guests.
