If we lived in a perfect world, everyone would not panic and start using things that are half of what thy appear to be. If you put the word quinine on a stone someone would eat it because they were told it was the answer to the fear of the flu. Your suggestions are good. But if someone in the media or government tells them it could work, they will eat every one of those things you mentioned five minutes after you said it. It’s not the scientists that are stupid, it’s the general public and the politicians that led them on.
