I sure hope the Governor doesnt face any NY street justice over his political actions with this treatment. It would be a shame.
WTF???
A good plan executed today is far better than a perfect plan executed in 2 weeks.
These people don’t know the meaning of the word haste. But its not their lives.
As many have pointed out, if they or one of their loved ones gets sick, see how fast they get the medicine that they are slow walking for others.
Oh next week whats the rush? They want it now! Your mayor and gov are holding you up to increase the death toll
Oh next week whats the rush? They want it now! Your mayor and gov are holding you up to increase the death toll. The gov is eager to get the trails started, oh that’s re asuring
What do you mean “we”?
There were several threads on one such study a few days ago.
You seem to be asserting that studies not done in the United States might as well not exist.
I am not buying your point in any way.
Yes. The trials were supposed to have started start last Tuesday, the 24th.
These are state-administered trials, and they are critically important, so I wondered how the state would screw them up. Would the wrong drugs be administered, would dosages be inappropriate, or what? Apparently the state just decided to delay the trials, while banning New York physicians from providing hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin to their patients by off-label prescription. So the state is standing directly between patients with COVID-19 infections and a possible treatment.
Had the trials started on Tuesday, we might already be getting some anecdotal reports from patients about the drug combo's success or failure.
Thanks. I’ll share what she passes on. What I have from her last email is:
Not everyone is getting the same treatment. Some antibiotics, some anti malaria, some anti HIV, and they are thinking about anti arthritis. No NSAIDs. Some say that even fluids make it worse. No nebs since it’s a super spreader.
If patients are intubated, no chest compressions because it will be a super spreader.
We originally weren’t supposed to have high flow on the floor but ICUs are getting a shortage that we have to have them on our floor now. We’re running out of ventilators at NYU.
Even nurses with over 20 years of experience have never seen anything like this. 34 patients, only 6 females.

Please try again.
It’s little wonder the FDA takes so long to get things done, if they take this long to start something like this in an emergency situation. I would think the protocols are pretty much boilerplate, with the toughest job being selecting the participants. Sheesh! How disappointing that they’re not in more of a hurry.
As long as it's a doctor deciding who needs it and not some faceless bureaucrat, that's ok.
Like the ones who took the fish tank cleaner...deliberately omitting what they actually took.
Many thanks!!
Thanks. Link doesnt work. Gives me a 404 error.
Thank you. Got it.
Thank you. Ping me whenever you want.
We as in people who dont spend their time here digging and surfing through all of the small under publicized articles. I read those threads and I read any study I can. I feel like Ive been yelling at the top of my lungs to non freepers that theres promise here. Until they hear it from something big, like the NY study or Cuomo theyre just not going to listen and this will continue.
Here's your link to the FR thread about the latest French results with hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin:

Here's the link to the French University Hospital Institutes (IHU) results referenced by the FR thread:

That page crashed my browser three times. Virustotal says the page is clean, so I think their server is just being overloaded.
Here's probably why it's probably overloaded (translated):
Patients on Hydroxychloroquine / Azythromycin treatment:It's nice to see someone doing large-scale HCQ testing, since New York can't get around to it.
Cohort Number: 701
Fatalities (for those at least 3 days on treatment): 1
