In the part of Washington where we live the number of deaths from this have already leveled off or are in decline. You trying to create panic and fear is just WRONG

I sincerely believe from various reports and personal observation that community spread was earlier and more extensive than initially realized. We have half a million Chinese in this area and many visit home frequently. My wife and I have both volunteered and been paid to do work at the Life Care Center in Kirkland, so I was one of the first here to tell people that this needed to be taken seriously, that it was more serious than a political stunt. Since that time the reaction has become insane. We have people on this forum who have completely lost their heads and sense of proportion.
I firmly believe we have many here in Eastern King County who have already recovered from an infection that had no or very little symptoms. The huge increase in testing may cause more media hype about the number of cases. In China, South Korea, and other places where this thing hit early things are already tapering off. God willing Eastern King County may not be that far behind

I spent over a decade as a senior officer on a HAZMAT team. My job was to be prepared for bio-hazards, chemical hazards, and other terrorist or foreign threats. I can tell you that we never thought to prepare for a biological agent released by a foreign government or terrorists that 90% of healthy people have either no or very slight symptoms from. It doesn't make any sense at all and if you can't figure that one out... then I guess I must be as “arrogant” as you think that I am because I think that you must have a "learning disability".
I do think the Chinese screwed us over by letting their people fly out of hot zones and carry this pathogen all over the world. And it very well may have some connection to their bio-lab in Wuhan. But as far as this being some type of weapon designed for a specific purpose... that is ridiculous. This very well may be an example of simple stupidity, and nothing in the previous thread changes that impression.
