Sifting thru the numbers I have seen so far, my guess for the COVID-19 “mortality rate as seen from next year” is about 0.2% for the US (roughly 2x worse than regular flu)...compounded by a higher rate of hospitalizations/viral pneumonia than regular flu. (Regular flu usually causes bacterial pneumonia which can be treated by antibiotics, no so for viral pneumonia).

Ebola is deadly but not very contagious (not airborne thru sneezing/coughing)...only thru direct contact with blood & bodily fluids to broken skin or mucus membranes.

Probably why that medical worker died alone with her 4 year old. I mean, how could u not know there was something wrong?

True but if flu were as deadly as ebola we would have had 21,000,000 deaths last year from the mild strain.

Another scare story for now - doctors cannot adopt such w/o being held accountable - it takes government action to kill people with impunity....

That’s right.

My wife will sue the living $hit out of the doctor, and hospital.
Rightfully so too.

There are laws. Deciding to go around or override them will result in poverty and loss of licenses.

It’s noteworthy that a Chicago Hospital is cited.

Nobody in the hospital is doing mouth to mouth on anyone. Typically on a code, you start with a bag valve mask that one person is assigned to do until the patient is sedated at which point they are intubated.

If the patient stays under sedation they are put on a ventilator so someone doesn’t have to stand there and mash the bag 12-20 times a minute, although that could be an option if no vents were available.

This approach will free up a lot of ventilators.
