Having said that, the speaker would have been heavily involved in the background on the negotiations. She would be pretty insane to throw it all out the window. I think that would be touching the political third rail.
While I wouldn’t put anything past her, they were waiting on the final text. Which I think is still note been voted on in the senate.
Vacate the chair. Maybe I’m dreaming but there have to be at least 25 Democrats who find this outrageous if for no other reason than their own political fortunes - one of them could run and get the speakership with those 25 members and getting the Republicans to vote with them to oust Pelosi.
Then again, thinking there are that many Democrats with integrity is probably foolish...

I think that the Democrat party is shedding members and at this point if they are unable to get away with illegals voting they lose the house in November.
