Trump is a horrible reader. It like listening to the horrible reader at Mass every Sunday. He never pre-reads his stuff. I read that he gets his "speech" just a few minutes before going out there.

Why won’t he take greater precautions? ...All those staffers shouldn’t be crammed up there on the podium with him. Instead he should probably set an example by leading video conference pressers from the oval office. Seriously, they are tested every time the enter a room (temperature tests). They're likely all together throughout the day at Cabinet meetings, task force meetings, daily presidential briefings, etc., that they are probably all safe to be around each other.
President Trump is trying to set the optics that the government is working hard to solve this at the quickest possible speed. It's like what Fauci said last week when scolded by the MSM for touching the microphone... there are just some things you have to do.
