For what it is worth, the UK death rate for confirmed cases is 4.3%. The US death rate for confirmed cases is 1.2%. In Canada, the death rate is about the same as ours.

Good question and I'm pretty sure I know what the consensus answer here would be - especially if the masks were headed to Mexico.

What an idiot and a stupid action to boot....95% of all masks should be in the hands of health professionals until there's enough for others...masks are almost useless to prevent the wearer from being infected but very useful to keep sick folks from infecting others (who also practice other precautions).

Med personnel need masks to put on the sick and then to wear themselves to ensure any of them that may still get it don't infect each other and other patients.
