I want to buy American made products. Can’t find them sometimes. Someone needs to create the Amazon of American made products.

“Trumpandemic”...really? The NYT already tried “Trump Virus” and that lasted like 3 hours. This won’t fly.

The three Republican senators dumping their stocks shortly following a secret meeting, though, is incredibly problematic. I’m not going to pass legal judgment or opinion here, as what they did may have been what many other stock traders did, but this is one issue which GOP voters will definitely punish their own on. The problem comes in their replacements. We may lose the Senate if we aren’t careful, and to be blunt, that will be a HUGE problem when Trump is reelected, as he can’t do a damn thing about judges or treaties.

I know Diane Feinstein is also accused of stock dumping, but she can easily resign and get replaced by another crazy communist. In fact, I daresay this is PREFERABLE for the Democrats than Feinstein waiting until her term is up (assuming she’s not running again) and risking not getting a solid communist voted in.

The Republicans don’t have that luxury, and even though Ratcliffe will probably win the GOP primary, Loeffler’s bad, bad judgment may cost the GOP the general. Same for the other two GOP senators.

I find it troubling that even the most common of over-the-counter medications are now being made offshore.

While I’m aware there are medications made in Europe, Israel, and other countries, the fact that we trust everyday medications to an ideology that’s express purpose is to “overthrow” our system of government is troubling.

I guess it all came into focus last night when I was looking at a bottle of Advil to see if it was considered a NSAID or was ibuprofen based. Imagine my surprise when I see “Made in China” stamped in the side of the bottle.

What happens if an ordinary over-the-counter medicine, that is used by millions daily, were compromised? Who needs a standing army when you can wipe out a population or at the very least incapacitate a major portion of it just by changing the formulation of s simple drug.

I’m not suggesting anything sinister is afoot, but why would we put ourselves in this position?

You’ve gotta be kidding— @nbc tells of how China may have “helped” the world on Coronavirus. This is blatantly false & delusional propaganda. The CCP covered up the outbreak for months, endangering millions. Our media shouldn’t value Chinese govt $$ more than truth. https://t.co/Dgy8s2Z4Tj— Ted Cruz (@tedcruz) March 20, 2020

“”Europe would probably be on China’s side. They have long sold their souls to China.””

You clearly don’t understand Europeans or people of European origin.
They have a habit of sticking together when attacked wilfully by A-holes.

The Chi-coms knew what they were doing, and they knew they could count on the media to sell it, and the liberal state leaders to do exactly what they are doing...limiting peoples’ rights and freedoms, and it was all done deliberately.

Starting to feel like a liberal con game into our shelter in place.

We and a large part of our neighborhood from about 2 pm to 4ish were out walking in the sun with our house in place people.

No one knows anyone who has this disease.

My wife got several phone calls this morning from relatives in the mid west facing what we have been facing for few days. They were seeking advice and thanking us for the suggestions re what to buy before TSHTF. Similar calls from my clan.

Our clan out here has college kids back home, and the parents are out of a lot of money for tuition, books, trips to the colleges. The shelter in place at this time is keeping the college kids from getting jobs.

San Francisco is starting to resemble escape from NY/LA. There has been early releases of criminals from jail to avoid medical treatment of the prisoners. So they walk out of jail with no skills, no money and they are stealing to live and drugs. California has a new law that shoplifting/theft of anything below $900 isn’t a crime.

I replied to a prayer thread on FR today. The daughter of a Freeper's cousin tested positive for the virus. She's in school in Scotland. Last night when I looked to see how many in my New York State county (Oneida) had tested positive, the number was 2. It's still at 2. I'm not doing anything differently than what I did before. I've gone to my doctor's appointments, had my teeth cleaned last week, go grocery shopping once a week, go to the post office once a week, and went to the laundromat today. I was going to visit my oldest son in Troy, New York for the weekend, but we cancelled because none of the restaurants there are open for dining-in. It's one of the things we enjoy when I visit. We go for supper on Saturday night, then out for breakfast on Sunday...then I head home. That's all that's changed for me.

I am a little sick of getting emails from my utilities, and credit card companies, telling me that they're "there for me" if I need help through this crisis. I don't even read them any more, just delete them. It's a bit much. I think because I live in a small city in central NY State, what's going on in the big cities has no effect on our lives here. I for one am just going to continue to do what I normally do.

"You clearly don’t understand Europeans or people of European origin."

I have European origins on both sides of my family. My Dad was born in Holland. My mother in Canada. Thankfully their parents had the sense to move to this country in the early years of the 20th century, and none of that silly European mindset ever reared its ugly head. They were grateful to have been able to come here. My Dad loved this country until the day he died. Unfortunately he was an FDR Democrat, and worked on the New York Central Railroad his whole life. If he was alive today, he wouldn't recognize the party, let alone have anything to do with it.

"Loeffler’s bad, bad judgment may cost the GOP the general."

It's not bad judgement. It was deliberate, and self-serving. They put their own greedy, selfish needs before the people, and country they represent. Nobody deserves forgiveness for that. They should be in the least, tarred and feathered, and sent packing. If it was my choice, they'd be hung, drawn, and quartered, and their heads placed on spikes so the crows can pick them apart.

Why are these state-run networks allowed to have their own Twitter accounts spewing bullshit when Twitter is banned in China?

More phone calls after dinner from friends and relatives.

Since we are the senior citizens of both clans, it is easy to figure out, That besides talking, they want to know how we are doing. After they determine that we are okay. They actually often want to handle their boredom.

My wife and some of her female relatives are deep cleaning room by room.

Our church has expanded my wife’s to call list of members.

She is very good at that.

The internet is a Godsend. I will be getting my wife’ chrome book on the local library books on line and link her to my Prime acct. We use gmail and texting several times a day.

I text or email my clan/family daily and sometimes 2x. We are all conservatives and love jokes and memes that skewer the libs.

You sound like you’ve got things under control quite well. I live alone, but like me, the people in the building have been here for a very long time, and we know we can count on each other. One son lives a couple hours away, and the other lives in Indiana. We keep in touch by emails or phone calls. The only other family I have is my sister-in-law (brother’s widow), and their kids who are all grown up. My sister-in-law, niece and her family (husband and four kids) are supposed to be visiting Easter weekend...that is if it isn’t cancelled. They’ll be in the area as they have to take their oldest son to soccer tryouts in Albany. Their visit all depends on if the tryouts aren’t cancelled, and nobody’s sick.

I include the word “judgment” in deliberate actions, such as illegally dumping stocks based on the ultimate inside knowledge.

And now what I fear is that we lose the senate, which will lead to far MORE malfeasance and possibly the loss of our entire capitalist system and country. Even if Trump wins, he at LEAST needs the Senate to restore the judiciary somewhat as well as prevent him from wielding the veto pen on an hourly basis. The Democrats are 1000 times more devastating than the current virus, and this hail mary attempt by the Deep State to politicize a virus that is magnitudes LESS devastating than H1N1 is not only sickening, but demoralizing.

My wife, yesterday cancelled our Easter.

It has been a combo Easter/Birthday party. A DIL’s birthday and my wife’s with some present and former church members.

It overflowed from our dining room to the living room and two tables outside.

I was seriously thinking about buying a whole lamb or at least half of one.

My wife could have been a chef, one son was a chef, for 20 years.

Everyone else is handy in the kitchen and their kitchens at home to bring their food specialties to the two tables. The grand kids are 19/21 and they are good cooks.

So, we will try to re schedule it in June/July if this is over.

Sorry to hear your Easter Dinner has been cancelled. I hope you are able to have a grand dinner with your friends and family once this mess is all over.
