Obviously “something” is working. Other countries are reporting recoveries, just look at the “sick” map. Wonder why there are none in the USA?
Proof that it is NOT effective at prevention?
No.
But its not clear that it is, either.
I’m still reading and gathering info, not casting set-in-stone opinions.
My question was whether long-term use was likely to have side effects. And, for some, but not most, it does. (I looked up medical effects of quinine).
A doctor friend of mine recently suggested drinking a few glasses of tonic water daily, which provides low dose quinine (20 mg/glass) as a preventive, just in case it works, as it is unlikely to be harmful. He says high doses, necessary for initiating therapy, have some potential of causing problems.
