But seriously, when the sexual revolution successfully reduced the pursuit of happiness to who screws what without constraint (because to people who’ve never fought fascism suxpggesting they be moral is fascistic), so that sex is utterly exempt from any common sense regulation, it naturally set the stage to likewise put anything that helps there be more sex without consequences (like abortion tries to do) would be similarly untouchable.

She was inserting this language as a (almost literal) poison pill, to get the Republicans to vote gainst it and make sure it fails in the Senate or even better, to get Trump to veto it.
Objective being to prolong the misery and prevent Trump from fixing the problem so they can win back the White House.
She did the same with her bizarre speech against Republicans during the financial rescue bill in 2008. Goal then was tank the economy to make Bush look bad.
