Oh, absolutely. Let’s give everyone free money whether they work or not. Sounds great if you want to destroy the economy. I’m ready to sit on my sofa and collect free money forever! I’m sure there are plenty of others who will too. We’ll reach full unemployment!

People already have that; it’s called food stamps, WIC, HUD housing, free education for the kiddies, 3 meals a day all year long for the kiddies, Medicaid, subsidized utilities, and even a free phone. All this is not counted in poverty stats, so somebody could have a small income (maybe even unreported income) and still be counted as living in poverty. It’s a crock.
