Half of Americans have a serious pre-existing medical condition.

Want to know what it is?

They are obese?

They are at serious risk from this virus.

The Chinese, Japanese, and Italians did not have that risk factor in large numbers.

_Think_ about it.

The doctor from the University of Washington(?) Hospital was in the care center in Kirkland last week. He said it all looked good and that the folks were being well cared for.

I visited a married couple there years ago. Their room was small, but the place seemed okay. A neighbor is in another nearby care center and says the food is great.

He is being released tomorrow after spending two weeks in rehab after a procedure. The place he is at had two CV people there last week. I wish they would run a test on him, but I don’t think they will. They said the two CV people were in their rooms and isolated.

I really worry about him bringing it home and giving it to his wife. Both are in their 80’s. He is supposed to be on 14-day quarantine - so we’ll see how that holds. (I should have taken his truck keys!)

We do NOT know how many “cases” there are in Washington. There could be 100,000 cases. We don’t t know. Also, it is not 100% sure that the deceased all died of this virus. What we do know is that for 99% of this country, we have nothing to worry about. If you are elderly and have emphysema, you should sell quarantine.

Because no other country had judged that extreme measures were necessary to deal with the outbreak in a way that came to my attention I didn’t pay any attention during the H1N1 outbreak as I had no reason to think that it might cause the medical system to collapse, at least temporarily.

more testing will reveal more testing .....

My question: in a certain population with no contact with people from areas with coronavirus, why would they test positive? Isn’t some kind of contact with a source necessary?

Where are the sources? We are in the community spread phase so they could be anywhere...only testing or symptoms after 5-14 days will reveal new “sources”.

I am not comfortable freaking people out, but I would encourage folks to research the details of the flu of 1918—not the headlines—the details.

The number one spreader of the 1918 disease has not been mentioned yet (to my knowledge) by any public official.

Mail.

While there is debate about how long the virus lasts on different surfaces, I would be concerned that the post office and the mail carrier could be a source of spread even in the most remote areas.

Don’t get over-confident, people.

Don’t do it.

It Can’t happen here, right Cleopatra?

20,000 people in this country have died during flu season. That many aren't going to die in this country due to Corona.

Look up the numbers

Nearly 600,000 died. 1000 died before Obama did anything ( in the US)
