I’ve almost talked myself into a new interpretation. Either Olshansky, the WAPO, or both, WANTED to bring up JOE’S COGNITIVE FUNCTION deliberately, or it was a Freudian slip of mass destruction, blabbed because of guilt.
Why else would the doctor just volunteer that Biden hadn’t done a cognitive function test, thus begging a LOT of questions? He even appends the bit about the campaign trail being like a substitute cognitive function test. That would be the campaign trail where Biden didn’t know where he was, what office he was running for, claimed his son had been AG of the US, and got stuck quoting the Declaration of Independence at “We hold these truths to be … er, something”, etc. If Joe’s doctor wanted to announce that the omitted cognitive function tests were a BIG DEAL, could he have done a better job?
I thought of that, too. Why would the article have even run in the WaPo, why would that quote from the doctor even been included, unless this was one big CYA on the part of both the paper and the doc?
Who is his doctor? Dr. Vinnie Boombatz?

We’ve lost 3 family members to various forms of dementia. The three were siblings, but each presented differently, progressed at different rates.
Biden’s campaign needs to come clean because something is clearly, medically wrong with their candidiate.

that’s EXACTLY what i had done, but with a double bypass!
so happy the surgeon took it upon himself to do all of those “extras” while he had me open for the bypass ... said i wouldn’t have to have a mitral valve replacement because the repair was done before things got too bad ... REALLY happy about the cox maze AND the LAA excision as well! ... took me longer than two weeks to get going again, though ... at least a month ... that’s a rough surgery to recover from ...

I agree with you, I don’t know who the v.p. candidate will be but I would bet that it won’t be Hillary and for the same reason you mention. Obama is pulling the strings.
