So you think the Chicoms cratered their economy to take out Trump?

What about South Korea and Italy.

Are they in on the game too?

I suggest that the death toll in China is WAY more than reported.

I also suggest that it’s WAY more deadly in the 20-40yr old age group than they’ve let on. For reasons of military readiness.

If anything is ‘bullsh*t’, it’s that we’ve allowed a political enemy, China, to have this much power over our own economic well being. Not to mention importing most if not all our our medical supplies from them.

“Wuhan quarantine area is 40 Million population with 80000 cases — that is where I get the 0.2%.”

Except for a few flawed assumptions, that would be great news.

Most of the cases are in the city of Wuhan itself, even though they are reported for the Province of Hubei. Much of the population of Wuhan, normally around 11 million, fled before the quarantine was instituted (rumors got started), as much as half. So it isn’t 40 million people, it’s 5 to 6 million.

The Chinese government only reports cases which have been confirmed via protocols that have changed several times - always in favor of downplaying the crisis. Many people have been turned away from the hospitals, many have been thrown into their ‘emergency hospitals’ (which lack plumbing for some mysterious reason) and many have been locked into their apartments. So the vast majority of possible cases are not tested, therefore no confirmed and consequently not reported.

The Chinese government effectively issued a “better not find any more cases” order that results in false numbers and no reporting of actual cases.

And there are other problems, but it basically boils down to it being a bad plan to trust anything from the Chinese.

That doesn’t stop plenty of people from using them when it suits their agenda. We’ve got people here that were decrying the Chinese numbers as a hoax when they were the worst out there who have changed to sanctifying them now that other places are showing bad numbers. “The Chinese are exaggerating to cause chaos in the West” versus “it can’t be any worse than Wuhan.” Those arguments are devoid of both logic and fact.

Watch S. Korea and Italy. We’ll get more honest numbers and we can see how well a real modern country copes. And expect the US to lag a couple of weeks behind.

Ignore China at this point since nothing coming out of there can be trusted. Ignore Iran since they are putting on a real-time demonstration of the Art of Stupid.

No offense but your suggestions are no more relevant than anyone else’s uneducated opinions. You choose to feed the hype by claiming the numbers are fake...sorry that’s a two way street...I could claim the opposite and we’d both be blowing smoke.

Numbers in a vacuum can be defined to fit any narrative you want. But let’s look at context. 3000 dead on 9/11 from a single event is the definition of a catastrophe and panic worthy.

3000 people, (hell I’ll give you 10,000), dead globally over the last couple of months due to an illness, primarily the elderly and compromised... is called nature.

I’m not arguing about the results of the panic and what it’s doing to the economy, there we agree. I’m arguing that the reality of the situation is no where near worthy of blowing up the economy....and yet it is. For no good reason(s).

I’m not feeding any hype.

I’m simply noting what the chicoms did.

They get the flu every winter just like we do.

This is the only time they’ve deep sixed their economy, militarily quarantined hundreds of millions of people and literally dug up all the secondary roads out of a province.

When was the last time we few expats back from a ‘hot zone’ with the flight attendants wearing BL4 suits? Happened on the Kalitta Air flights out of Wuhan.

I don’t think China would actually CARE if this disease only killed the elderly. They’re commies after all. The elderly are useless eaters in any commie society.

So the ‘real’ impacts must have involved more than ‘the flu’ and ‘the elderly’.

The videos out of Iran are chilling. No question their official death toll is fiction.

Since this 'flu' can be gotten more than once it might hit the elderly first and hardest - but could be equally damaging the third time a twenty year old gets it...

The ecomnomic problem is REAL

Agreed. My guess (and that's all it is) is that we will be in a recession by mid-2Q 2020.

I think the thing that is scary to people is that it can be spread apparently so easily by asymptomatic carriers. That spooks people.

People need to be vigilant - wash hands, steer clear of sick people, be polite but direct to people who are sick at work to GO HOME, etc. Those things should be done regardless.

Totalitarians have zero problem killing thousands or even millions of their own people to achieve a goal.

What are the little people going to do - not elect them again? Stalin would have laughed at such logic.

I feel it's possible the release of this bio-weapon was intentional - maybe a 5% chance. Released with the goal of taking Trump out and putting 'deep state democrats who happily accept 'bribes' (in many forms - with smiles on their filthy corrupt faces') - back in power.

Medical supplies and institutional kitchen supplies imported from China should be spot-checked for virus... These ARE the people who poisoned our dogs and sold us contaminated drywall that made our families sick.

I think we’re at about 4/100ths of a person dead per 100,000 people world wide at this point.

It might be 1/300th of a person dead per 100,000 in this country.

That is probably why we’re being told to carry on with our normal lives + wash hands and cover coughs and sneezes.

A stat based on info we don’t have, deaths per total people positive for corona is speculative at best.

This is doubly so, since we’re just beginning to ship test kits.

I actually had corona a few years back when hospitalized for a different issue. Came down with a cold, they tested, and results came back corona. Obviously, it wasn’t this strain, but they did have a test procedure.

How many people had corona that year? I don’t have a clue. Neither do they.
