There are plenty of hospitals that depending on the severity of your problems...get seen within minutes. Of course big city hospitals....too many use the E.R. for non-emergent care. And that slows everything down.
I'm an RRT, CPFT, NPS...That means I see pt's in ER's and in ICU's...I take of real sick folks...a lot of the time.
Sure....I know some newbie Doctors, PA's, NP's...RN's.. RT's..etc..And if they are smart they ask questions of people with more hands on experience.
I've worked with some amazing people...and other's not so amazing. It happens in every field....

Thanks for info. You must be in a better city than I am currently, but have lived in city where first class medicare care dominated. The UCs here are staffed by NP and do very little, Except to funnel into E.R.s which also have staff less than best.
I have seen even better than you have seen in the eightes perhaps. I started in the Seventies.
All the old ones lament the system now. As do I.
