Despite his fugitive status and role as a leader for Al Qaeda, Al-Nouri was admitted to the United States in 2008 as a refugee. He then went on to become an American citizen. Republican Senators Chuck Grassley and Joni Ernst want to know why.

I can answer the question. He was admitted as a refugee and given citizenship because it is really hard to determine who Iraqis really are. Irag is a "S*&t h(*le country. Records are spotty, incomplete and contradictory. Additionally, the alphabet is not like ours, so you cannot do a direct translation. For instance, let's say your last name is Baker. Do you translate his name as "bā′kər" or do you translate his name as "personwhocooksbread?"
