If the President says “this guy is the priority” then he’s the priority. He is in charge of the overall narrative so there are many other considerations he’s basing his decision upon, not just the ones the CIA considers important.
If I hire a contractor to do the plumbing in the house I’m building I don’t need to hear his opinion on the color I’m painting the walls, I just need him to do what I’ve hired him to do.
