Thornberry is 61. Wish I could answer about his future. His characteristically low profile always includes inside pocket of his thoughts and plans.
Wouldn’t surprise me that he would move to Washington, Paul Ryan style. Maybe not. Thornberry has not the long term national exposure of Ryan.
He was a fine conservative on Ag and Oil issues. It’s just like Ryan, though, where Trump exposes their priorities that Thornberry loses it, in the name of “budget”, placed before economic security and/or even border focused national security.
