Cavett broke down nothing. He characterized Nixon as less than manly for resigning rather than going through impeachment and then said Trump’s impeachment is totally different. That’s the extent of his impeachment breakdown. The article concludes with Cavett recounting an instance when he and Trump were at a dinner and simultaneously reached for the same shrimp at the buffet, but both being less than manly, did not pursue it. Apparently, Cavett has serious self-image issues over his manliness and in the best traditions of the soy boys on the left, projected them onto others including President Trump. I suppose that’s a breakdown of a different sort.

With the Biden candidacy on its way out, voters over age 70 are going to start looking for someone else to support.

Dick Cavett is highly regarded by the over 70 crowd.

Thus the Democrats and their “press” are using Cavett to smear Trump.

Nixon didn’t get away with his crimes? Well, whatta ya know?

Not one day in prison, and after his death, a great outpouring of sympathy and understanding for all the greater good he did for America, in mitigating the debacle that was Viet Nam.

So far as Donald Trump has progressed, there is no evidence that the United States or the world as a whole has been harmed, but only benefited overall, both in economics and in international understanding, once again elevating the power and prestige of America.

Donald Trump is the greatest surfer of the waves that come pouring up to our shores every day, and Nixon was in no small way his mentor in how to catch those waves.

Sometimes I’m guilty of not reading an article. But from all the disparaging remarks about Cavett, and the much appreciated comments from those who DID read it, it’s obvious most of you did not. I’m 68, and we used to watch Dick Cavett nearly every show. He was pretty snooty back then -— brilliant, and very much aware of it, but from the things I’ve read of him in the last few years, he’s mellowed, but still brilliant, at 83 years old; I still like him; especially since he’s not so snooty anymore. After his first wife of 40 years died, several years ago, he found love again, at age 73, and says he’s very happy. As an old granny myself, I say, good for him!

Trump didn’t have any crimes. Nixon, participated in a cover-up of crimes he didn’t commit or authorize.

The FBI under Nixon ran ABSCAM and busted several Senators almost all Democrat for taking Bribes.

Trump asked Ukraine to look into corruption. That corruption included Biden, the Democrats election interference, and according to evidence obtained by Rudy, would implicate many Democrats.

Click bait title? Cavet did not actually say anything definitive on Trump's impeachment, other than it is different than Nixon's.
