Yep. Not a guy to be trusted. WHO=CCP. Not our friends. I honestly don’t trust a lot of the Obama holdovers in HHS or CDC and I hope Trump has the right people advising him on this.

*President Trump. Sorry, I did not mean to disrespect him by leaving off his title!

I'm guessing a virus that kills 2% (?) or less of those infected would take a long time to become less virulent. Maybe years? Does anyone have links or a summary from a solid source regarding research on this?

It isn’t the infectedness of the chicken food, it’s the just in time delivery of same.

If it simply doesn’t get delivered, like in the quarantined provinces in china, how much do you have?

I think we really need to back off on the assumption that this was “targeted” by race. The white guy in Britain seems to be spreading this just fine.

Possible, I suppose.

And indeed we don’t really know anything on this. It is all reports of reports.

The timeline of the Spanish Flu was 1918-1919, with a first, milder wave which killed as most flus do, elderly, those with other health issues. The second wave started the fall of that same year and it was much more deadly, with a lot of cytokine storm type deaths. According to Smithsonian it eventually became less deadly: “ partly because many human immune systems now recognized it and partly because it lost the ability to easily invade the lungs. No longer a bloodthirsty murderer, it evolved into a seasonal influenza.”
https://www.smithsonianmag.com/history/journal-plague-year-180965222/

Here’s a technical paper on mutation:
“RNA viruses have much higher mutation rates, perhaps one mutation per virus genome copy. Mutations can be deleterious, neutral, or occasionally favorable. Only mutations that do not interfere with essential virus functions can persist.”

I agree 100% the argument is not that other races aren’t catching it, but that they are showing milder illness. I do NOT believe that, I think that the only difference it is not as endemic in other demographics yet.

This just gets worse doesn't it?

That is the future, at least for 2-3 months.

Sure. Just cook ‘em (any fish except gar*) whole, promptly. Lightly salt if you wish. Or eat the fillets yourself and cook the rest for the birds, maybe using the raw guts for fertilizer, but the chickens will happily eat the guts as well, if cooked. They’ll eat ‘em raw, too, but large tough pieces of gut slow ‘em down a little, and smell bad fast.

Only problem is to check with local or state DNR regarding mercury levels, as larger bass in particular can be high, depending on the water body. (Apex predator.) And whole gar are still “armored” / tough for birds or humans to eat. Maybe put ‘em through a wood chipper for pets or chickens?!

How terrible, for the people on this floating petri dish, er, Cruise ship.

They are literally adrift without a port.

Any updates?

Right. (My Dad was a forest geneticist, among other things. I picked up a little (little!) of the general stuff from him.)

Understand that a career in public health is strongly associated with internationalism and state interventionism.

It comes with the territory.

And, just as a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while, sometimes that perspective generates a correct answer.

The last flight stopped at Vancouver to offload some brits that hitched a ride

Ah, so that was the reason for the layover.
