New York knew or should have known that their new law would affect law abiding citizens as well as illegals.

Albany doesn't care. The infamous bail reform law that's wreaking havoc here should make that clear.

I’m sorry I guess I wasn’t clear. I meant it was not a new policy for Border Patrol. If they can’t verify that you’re a safe person, they don’t give approval. It’s been that way for a number of years.

The Border Patrol policy has been unchanged for a couple of years at least, long before these Green Light Laws were even written.

And how quickly did the law go into effect? Sure, I could understand them doing this quietly and trying to reverse it if implementation was delayed a couple months, But since the law is in effect now, the travel restriction has to be in effect now.
