Of course, it won’t be like that here.
Here People don’t walk, they drive.
Yeah, that’s a scary thought!
English is such a fine language. What an invention!
I’ll say it again. Locate all passengers who flew in from China and quarantine them. These guys say they have ‘self-isolated’ so they suspected themselves, but they really haven’t self-isolated. I appreciate they escaped to America because they probably felt their chances to live were better here, but they didn’t immediately report themselves. So, find them all and detain them all for 2 weeks. We have passport records from Customs - so do it.
Woman traveled FROM Wuhan to ‘visit’ relatives. She was not a resident of the county - maybe not a citizen either. Arrived Jan 23 - the day Wuhan locked down. And almost certainly thru SFO. Santa Clara county is big - area includes Sunnyvale, to Travis AFB (Gilroy) to San Jose.
Makes one wonder if some of these ‘visitors’ are intentional trojan horses or just selfish people escaping lockdown thinking their chances were better in the US and not caring about infecting anyone. But if they are low-income, low education selfish ppl, how’d they get the money to travel?

first person to person was German, along with his two associates. Don’t know the genetics of the German or his two associates. The first death in Malaysia, was a 22yo India Indian. Asian but not east Asian, if that makes sense. A group of Paki students trying to leave Wuhan airport were tested negative, but then pulled and sent into quarantine in ‘a 5-star hotel’. The guy who made the video said they hadn’t told him if the second test was positive or if he was just a ‘contact’ to another student maybe testing positive. He didn’t know why they quarantined his small group. Again, Asian but not east Asian.
So far, no reports of symptoms within the group of Americans in quarantine at March Field.
If the patients in the US came back, say Jan 23 or 24, then we’ll know in about 3 days if any ‘other than asian’ caught a person-to-person transfer, given a 14 day incubation/viral shedding period. It all depends on their arrival date. As well how crowded the waiting room was, whether they went to a regular doctor, urgent care or ER. Or if they visited a gas station or grocery store coming and going. To be noted the San Benito wife had symptoms within 4 days of picking her husband up at SFO.
.
Thanks. Good info.
