That's what I've been thinking as well. In what you know to be a privileged conversation, you can throw out this wish and your advisers, like Bolton, would likely immediately tell you that it would be improper (though not illegal). That's why you have expert advisers around you, including legal staff. If you never act on the thought there is no problem. And Trump obviously never acted on it, otherwise we would have heard about it endlessly from all the US diplomatic hangers-on as well as the Ukrainians.
I would disagree on Hunter B being our first witness. Third or fourth. He will just take the Fifth Amendment protection.

More hurdles tomorrow. Now Maggie Haberman has story out that Bolton privately told Attorney General Barr last year that he had concerns that President Trump was effectively granting personal favors to the autocratic leaders of Turkey and China. This is also supposed to be in Bolton’s book.

I saw almost all of Dershowitz, (missed the beginning) and then flipped to Hannity, who got all of ten seconds of my attention.
