Two things Republicans should do immediately:

1) Start filing LOTS of lawsuits, from all sorts of different directions, to prevent them from being combined.

2) Loudly insist that NATIONAL political figures, especially President Trump, be included in their anti-free speech law. While this is of course nonsensical, they would utterly lose their marbles about it.

http://lis.virginia.gov/cgi-bin/legp604.exe?201+ful+HB1627+hil

The bill is largely redundant. “Threats of death or bodily injury to a person or member of his family; threats of death or bodily injury to persons on school property; threats of death or bodily injury to health care providers; . . . Threatening the Governor or his immediate family . . . Threats to bomb or damage buildings or means of transportation; false information as to danger to such buildings, etc. . .”

Those are already illegal, as is appropriate, so those sensible parts of this bill are completely unnecessary.

Then we have this: “If any person, with the intent to coerce, intimidate, or harass any person, shall use a computer or computer network to communicate obscene, vulgar, profane, lewd, lascivious, or indecent language, or make any suggestion or proposal of an obscene nature, or threaten any illegal or immoral act, he is guilty of a Class 1 misdemeanor.”

In short, if anyone suggests that Governor Blackface von Klan should do something anatomically impossible to himself, that is supposed to become a crime. The pathetic tyrants of the globalist left disgust me. This poor excuse for a man cannot decide between striving for pure evil and wallowing in embarrassing pettiness. Saying what all decent people think of this sissy is not a crime, not yet. So let me be the first to suggest (on this thread at least) that the thug in Virginia’s governor’s mansion should go do something to himself - something I’m sure no real woman would ever be willing to do with a wimp who makes Obamacare’s Pajama Boy look like the Marlboro Man.

Fake News™.

Read the bill: http://lis.virginia.gov/cgi-bin/legp604.exe?201+ful+HB1627

The law already covers these kinds of threats. All the bill does is establish jurisdiction in the state capital, Richmond, for threats against the state-wide office holders who have their offices in Richmond.

How much more in our faces can tyranny get? Wow.

There’s a reason they want to get the guns and it is because they have something planned..like late 1930s Germany kind of planned.

How do you kill double-digit millions of people? It starts just like this. You don't think the Germans collectively woke up one day and said to themselves "Gee, those National Socialist boys have their act together, let's kill everyone that opposes them!" Or that the Russians et. al. woke up and said "Wow, the Communist Party is where it's at, the Gulags sure sound like a good idea."

The mistake far too many people are making today is ignoring history. As the saying goes, they are doomed to repeat it. (maybe, or maybe we can educate them before it is too late) We didn't defeat Nazis and Communists once and for all decades ago. Those problems are not dead and gone. Those ideas and ideals that cost tens of millions of lives to beat back have not disappeared, they are not a problem from long ago and far away. They are here, now.

We have people publicly advocating to make opposition to their beliefs criminal (eg. climate deniers). We have anti "hate speech" and "hate crime" laws - but guess who gets to decide what is hate speech or hate crimes? We have lawmakers staffs saying Gulags are not such a bad option. We have lawmakers introducing bills that wildly, obviously stamp on our rights, our ability to dissent from their tyrannical rule. It doesn't start with cattle cars full of people, but that's where it is going. We already have elements out there advocating for violence against their political foes (that would be us, here).

These people are not just wrong, not just amusingly ignorant. These people are evil and dangerous. If/when enough like-minded types get together, get into power, and sell their song and ideas to an ill-informed or duped public... The more power they accumulate, the more difficult and painful it is to reverse course. At some point we may hit a tipping point where it is impossible to remove them and undo the damage they are doing to freedom and liberty. These people are dangerous and should not be allowed or accorded any more power. They should be treated as venomous snakes.

Now is the time to wake up. In every election from the National/Presidential level down to local dog-catcher. Anyone who aligns themselves with these people - socialist, democrat, et. al. must be defeated. They are pushing down a path towards misery, suffering, and massive loss of life. I'm sure that is not their intention. Some of them, maybe even most of them think they are doing the right thing. They have convinced themselves (quite incorrectly) they are the smartest people in the room. They have convinced themselves (again, quite incorrectly) they know what's best for everyone else. These two delusions are dangerous together. It is only a small leap from there to "We must reluctantly impose our will upon the masses - for their own good. We know best, these poor ignorant fools don't have the benefit of my education, my insights. If they would only trust me... It's for the children, for humanity...the ends being so big, so important justifies any means..." and then things go rapidly downhill from there.

House Bill 1627 was introduced by Delegate Jeffrey M. Bourne last week. The legislation “provides that certain crimes relating to threats and harassment may be prosecuted in the City of Richmond if the victim is the Governor, Governor-elect, Lieutenant Governor, Lieutenant Governor-elect, Attorney General, or Attorney General-elect, a member or employee of the General Assembly, a justice of the Supreme Court of Virginia, or a judge of the Court of Appeals of Virginia.”

Language in the bill explicitly criminalizes free speech, in what would constitute a blatant attack on the 1st Amendment of the Constitution.

The Delegate was elected by majority vote in a duly authorized and recognized election. One elects a son of a bitch, one gets a son of a bitch. Evidence barrack obama. The Nation is still recovering from the damage that the traitors and haters of America did by putting him in the White House for eight years. Garbage in garbage out. Shit in shit out. What do you expect?

Another totally illegal bill.

I went out and read the actual text of the bill.

The first couple of changes aren’t that bad... The usual Death Threat type stuff.

It’s the last couple of paragraphs that go off the deep end. It changes the language to be entirely subjective. Well into “trigger” territory...

Socialists are mentally ill. Of course, pointing this out to them is “harassment” and is on it’s way to being a crime.
