From Wiki:

"The court's judges are appointed solely by the Chief Justice of the United States without confirmation or oversight by the U.S. Congress.

"Since May 2014, four of the five judges appointed by Chief Justice John Roberts to the FISA Court were appointed to their previous federal court positions by Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama."

I accept. I would have that cesspool cleaned out in 30 days with a few visits to their indoor shooting range. “Sign this confession” or go down and hold that target. Works for me. Our government is not being run by elected officials. There is a cadre of flotsam of political crap that washes in and out of government. These people, mostly attorneys, call the day to day shots and stymie anyone who tries to turn the rudder, both above and below their level. Best recent example was Lois learner who did not have to be directed to kill the tea party and people like that “doctor” chick at fincin who was stealing documents for a reporter. These people never face real repercussions and in fact benefit by their illegal actions. In a country where the penalty equaled the crime both would have been electrocuted as they conspired to undermine a basic tenant of our constitution, fair elections.

“a controversial pick for the job”

Not really...controversial would be more like someone who didn’t serve under clinton, obama, or bush.

I do not know if Trump has the authority to fire David Kris.

It’s my understanding that Kris was hired by the FISA Court, and not by A.G. Barr.

In any event, Trump should at least try to fire him.

Make some noise, Trump.

Make the Deep State pay a substantial political price for hiring one of their own operatives.

Picks=pieces, sorry.

This leads to a good idea. Those who said they would serve under President trunk go to contact the White House and everybody send a note that says I am I free republic I do this for a living I will definitely serve if asked. I will be loyal I will not stab you in the back. That should give President Trump and his staff a little bit more thought process when they pick these losers for the Department of Justice and FBI and so forth.

"The Obama Justice Department official appointed by the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court to scrutinize the FBI’s FISA reforms determined the bureau’s reforms would be insufficient without a change in the FBI’s culture."

Given the s**t stains on this asshat's hands, this strikes me as smirkingly-insincere and self-serving.

He might was well be out there with O.J. looking for Nicole's 'real killer'...

Maybe the FBI should refocus on creating a climate of integrity, honesty, and honor to their profession.

Hannity is full of dawgshit, 99% of the fbi is corrupt and 1% is honest and hard working.

Everybody knew that mulehead and comey were corrupt, 20 years ago, when they traded jobs so that they could share in corporate cash.

The whole fbi and the fisa and much of the doj should be shut down.

Give the fbi responsibility to the marshals and let the "honest" fbi agents re-test {including extensive lie detectors} for new positions.

Shut fisc down and re-think the whole idea of a "secret court" which is not constitutional.

There must at least be a designated group of lawyers to represent the alternative position, so this 'court decision outcome rigging' cannot continue to exist.

We cannot trust the fisc or the fbi because they have proven themselves to be corrupt beyond repair.

ABOLISH FISA

Works for me. My son, a retired Navy Captain that did a lot of NSA work thinks we need fisa but agrees that corruption has tainted it and it needs reformed.

I agree with the Horse.

ABOLISH FISA.

You silly prole. Don’t you know that the FISA court is a law unto themselves?
