“the arena” is the United States Senate, you moron...it is a separate body from the House and makes its own rules, deal with it, Pelosi

“He tweeted that he ... actually thinks the House should do all it can to “force the Senate to have a fair trial.”

Uh, Smith, “all” would be precisely zero ...

“Smith reversed himself: “If the Speaker believes that holding on to the articles for a longer time will help force a fair trial in the Senate, then I wholeheartedly support that decision,” he tweeted, while saying he still wants the articles eventually sent to the Senate.”

nancy held a gun to his head and said “no mas dinero” and he promptly fell in line ... it’s imperative that nancy not allow ANY of the troops off of the res or the damn could break and there’d be a flood ...

In the mean time, while i understand that hundreds of FReepers are going wild here demanding a trial, i think it could greatly benefit the GOP to never hold a trial at all for several reasons:

1. This impeachment could always be proclaimed as the “impeachment that never was”

2. It utterly guts the Democrat rationale for such a hurried impeachment or even the need for any impeachment at all

3. “The impeachment that never was” will REALLY, REALLY, REALLY torque off the die-hard leftist Democrat base AND continue to solidify and even increase Trump’s supporters

4. But most importantly of all is that there are some vulnerable Senators in blue and purple states, such as Cory Gardner and Martha McSally who we absolutely MUST keep to avoid flipping the Senate to the Democrats, and avoiding a vote on impeachment can greatly help such Senate candidates ...

““She won’t cave,” the source told Fox News. “She has the leverage.””

ROTFLOL!

Now THAT’S funny!

Just send her a link to the rules that were adopted in 1999, since she can’t seem to find them (unlike all the rest of us).

She isn’t concerned about the senate Trial rules. She thought holding them might hurt Trump, but like the unfair impeachment sham in Schiff’s secret bunker, it failed. Even her own party is turning against her.

Now the delay is going to hurt the senators running for president. (maybe that is what she wanted)

Anyway, what the house has done is beyond basic fairness. Just not what america was founded on. Shame on your Nancy.

I’m excited to see the Bidens on the witness stand.
