One thing to remember is that many other cultures are not so beholden to instant gratification as ours. If it takes them years, decades, or more, to exact revenge, fine. Just so long as one executes it before they die — and dieing in executing it is fine too. Think “The Wrath of Kahn”, from Star Trek.
One reasons is because Kenya has “peacekeepers” in Somalia, and unlike most African military types, the Kenyans have a good reputation (British military tradition).
Many Somali “refugees” in Kenya are actually terrorist types: and there is a real danger that tribal warfare will break out when the Bantu Kenyans decide to chase them home.
to complicate matters, most Kenyans are either Traditional or Christian, and the Somali are Muslim.

The thing is, opposite stories are all over the place.
These people do not want Trump turning them into incinerator debris, so they may say anything... that this attack had nothing to do with the US-IRAN conflict. They may even pretend to not have heard that the US sent Soulimani a Rocket Lunch, for the New Year, you know what I mean?
Supposedly this attack was repelled and four (4) terrorists were killed or captured, no mention by police, or base spokesman of Any casualties to our side, yet, and this fire plume is coming from the airport, but not from the base itself that was targeted. Just sayin’.

The car bomb was at the gate. There are not very many aircraft parked by the gate.
Why the hay does America have a military base in Kenya? Has Obama’s birthplace home been made a national shrine and we need to protect it? Or, did Obama send troops over to gag the local Kenyans from revealing the truth about his birth?

One report says the Kenyans killed the leader of the attack, 13km from the airport.

I saw it in the prison system in NY State where I worked in uniform for 25 years. Inmates who had had a confrontation on the street kept grudges going for years, and if the opportunity was afforded them when that same individual, or a friend or family member of the person they'd had the beef with, ended up in the same prison...they'd retaliate against them. But their actions only showed how petty, and stupid they were. I guess it had something to do with having pride on the street, adding to your street crews, but all they got was another criminal charge, and more time added to their sentences.
