One of my most vivid childhood memories is of being slammed face first into a large rock by a large wave, then trying to recover myself for a minute, and being slammed face first by another large wave into the same damn rock.
I learned.
No doubt, I learned at an early age that you’d best pay attention to the tide tables. Luckily I was only mildly hurt and wet, the ocean can and will kill you.
I have no pity or sympathy for ignorant fools like him.
that is why I respect the Coast Guard most of all. The ocean is trying to kill you and then you have to go risk your lives because some moron decided to take a boat out to sea without having the faintest clue of what to do.
You can see his pony tail fly up! It was either this or trying to live with Bears.
Morning fellow coastie. You can’t fix stupid but we sure saved many of them only to find them being stupid again and again. Sometimes we just want Darwin to assist them in natural selection so we wouldn’t lose our own lives.
Thank you for your kind words. When everyone is heading in we are heading out:)
Please leave room for me!
All of the Gorebull Warmists are full of fecal matter.
The ocean can be a beast, I’m a very good swimmer and for the most part not afraid of it, but powerful waves and rocks are a bad combo ...
Did you see this one?

You are most welcome! The Coast Guard is forgotten by all but those who go to sea, and they are the seaman’s guardian angels.
Dont doubt your a good swimmer but these guys are the best of the best.
Happy to have known a few

AM1 friend of mine(ret) out of Gouchester Mass sent me this book for Xmas.
Slow at first but you will relate and far from my CG District 7 days
“Deadliest Sea” by Kalee Thompson
“Ya got gout out ya dont have to come back”,was they way it was put to me in the early days
“Ya gotah go out ya dont have to come back”
Fixed it
Spell check is not my pal
Excellent, thank you very much, can’t wait to read it:)
HAHA, that was most definitely the term used during my time in the guard. :) Thanks for the memories.
All heroes, every single one of them. I jumped in a few times during some rough seas and thank God it was not in cold water but was still hair raising to be in a sinking boat trying to save it while in 15 ft seas. That kind of work keeps you honest:)
