re: six point checklist aka show us you’re real
Guys have it easy meeting the checklist. But, according to Calif DMV, if you are a divorced/re-married woman, this also means bringing in your marriage/divorce papers along with a certified copy (no photocopies allowed) of your birth certificate. Never mind you brought the birth certificate in 30 years ago when you got your first license to begin with, and never mind that you brought your divorce/marriage papers with you when you changed your name to begin with, either. DMV records aren’t good enough for the Calif DMV. (neither is a military id, btw) We now all have to prove we have the right to reside in the US, bearing our shiny new ‘real’ id, simply to board an airplane. Because our overlords let in so many illegals, and gave out so many driver’s licenses and EINs in lieu of SSNs, we’re all now illegals until we prove we’re not. But you can still drive to your destination. Or take a Greyhound. Or train. For now. Papers, please.
I visited a state park in NY a couple of weeks ago, and next to various pamphlets for other parks in the area were forms for registering to vote.
I think everyone that is legally allowed to vote, should. On the other hand, how is someone going to vote who never even bothered to register when they could?
Just what NJ needs. More scofflaw drivers.
Completely incorrect. Anyone with a valid Passport will still be able to enter and get groped at those dreaded TSA airport checkpoints, including this traveler who refuses to get the b.s. "Real ID."
What a complete scam it is.
They are required to have a piece of paper that keeps the police from writing a ticket. They can buy that piece of paper with one months coverage, or less.
I believe car insurance is what is really driving this; more and more accidents in these dying states involve Thirdworlders who until a few months before had been riding burros or camels - and the insurance companies are getting raked over the coals when their American “insureds” have these claims (which fall under our “uninsured driver” part of our policies). After insurance, the next most pressing issue is actually teaching them to drive.
I believe the auto insurance component is what will dissuade the invaders from even participating; the amnesties of the past, and the de facto amnesties today, are not encouraging these people to pay taxes. They are here to take, not give.
