Without that they lose their opportunity to make the case that Trump should be impeached even though the articles are BS.

You need to read the constitution.
House has the sole power of impeachment.
Senate has the power to try it.
Hence the house is who impeaches. The senate is who removes.
Someone should write a book on that.
If this is her chosen course of action, it no longer is an Impeachment.

Couple of things. First off, the sixth amendment requires a speedy trial. Seems to me this is a violation of that amendment. Could be enforced by a direct appeal to the SC by the President. I don’t think the Senate has standing to do it.
The reason this was supposedly rushed through was he was an immediate and continuing threat to the country because he remained as President. Seems to me not sending it forward undermines that argument and should become the corner stone of everyone saying this is a sham.
