Will hold a press conference at 4:00 pm in the Senate Radio-TV Gallery on Inspector General Michael Horowitzs report on the DOJ and FBIs conduct during the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrant process as it relates to the 2016 election.
From the report: “We did not find documentary or testimonial evidence that political bias or improper motivation influenced the FBI’s decision to seek FISA authority on Carter Page. “
The IG report shows that:
An FBI lawyer who hated President Trump doctored a document so that it “inaccurately stated” that Trump campaign staffer Carter Page had NOT previously helped another U.S. government agency.
This false information was then presented to the FISA court.
“Weissmann told us that Ohr told him “nothing” about the allegations Ohr received from Steele. Ahmad told us that Ohr did not provide her with detailed information about what Ohr was hearing from Steele and that Ohr only alluded to the fact that Steele had derogatory information about President-elect Trump.”
Mueller group covering for themselves
AG Barr has responded:
‘The IG;s report now makes clear that the FBI launched an intrusive campaign on the thinnest of suspicions that, in my view, were insufficient to justify the steps taken’.
This. I want to watch.

“We also investigated an allegation, raised by Papadopoulos, that the FBI used Joseph Mifsud, a Maltese citizen who was living in London and serving as a university professor, to pass information to Papadopoulos in April 2016 as a set up, so that the FBI could predicate the Crossfire Hurricane investigation. Papadopoulos raised this possibility during his October 25, 2018 testimony before the House Judiciary Committee and House Committee on Government Reform and Oversight, by stating that Mifsud might have been “working with the FBI and this was some sort of operation” to entrap Papadopoulos. The FBI’s Delta files contain no evidence that Mifsud has ever acted as an FBI CHS”
No one said Mifsud was FBI. He was CIA/western intelligence.

BREAKING: IG report officially released. It reveals FBI “fell far short” in vetting accuracy of FISA applications, knowingly withheld exculpatory information, used ‘defensive briefings’ to secretly asses the Trump campaign, used known illegitimate sources, and more.

Ohr
shows up in the report
Ohr is still employed by the Barr DOJ, correct?
Crossfire Hurrican was all about the wikileaks Podesta emails.
Schiff obtains and releases phone records and no one budges.
Nellie, no
In short, with relation to opening the investigation, but Strozk and Page exhibited political bias, but they were not integral players in the decision as to whether or not to open the investigation. Page was not part of the process, and Strozk, was part of the team who decided to open, but was not the only or senior member required to sign off.
The decision to open was ostensibly based on a communication from an FFG (Foreign Friendly Government) that then Trump campaign foreign policy advisor George Papadopoulos “suggested the Trump team had received some kind of suggestion from Russia that it could assist this process with the anonymous release of information during the campaign that would be damaging to Mrs. Clinton”.
Good to hear.
Lets see the media hacks spin this disaster: The Crossfire Hurricane team failed to inform the DOJ of significant information, much of which was inconsistent with, or undercut its FISA application assertions.
Have fun media hacks, snap to it!
Mistakes were made, blah, blah, blah. No criminal intent, blah, blah, blah. This nothing burger IG report is result of 3 years of “Trust” sunshine pumping. Maximum pressure needed to be applied to the GOP and Deep State to prevent a white wash. It was not.
In short, it appears to be confirmation that the FISA applications reliance on Russian contacts by Page were based upon contacts at the behest of the United States.
p. 370 Source 2 is halper. This completely exonerates Papodopolous
Later in the conversation, Source 2 asked Papadopoulos directly whether help “from a third party like WikiLeaks for example or some other third party like the Russians, could be incredibly helpful” in securing a campaign victory.
Papadopoulos responded: Well as a campaign, of course, we don’t advocate for this type of activity because at the end of the day it’s, ah, illegal. First and foremost it compromises the US national security and third it sets a very bad precedence [sic].... So the campaign does not advocate for this, does not support what is happening. The indirect consequences are out of our hands.... [F]or example, our campaign is not. .. engag[ing] or reaching out to wiki leaks or to the whoever it is to tell them please work with us, collaborate because we don’t, no one does that.... Unless there’s something going on that I don’t know which I don’t because I don’t think anybody would risk their, their life, ah, potentially going to prison over doing something like that. Um ... because at the end of the day, you know, it’s an illegal, it’s an illegal activity. Espionage is, ah, treason. This is a form of treason .... I mean that’s why, you know, it became a very big issue when Mr. Trump said, “Russia if you’re listening .... “ Do you remember? ... And you know we had to retract it because, of course, he didn’t mean for them to actively engage in espionage but the media then took and ran with it.
When Source 2 raised the issue again, Papadopoulos added: to run a shop like that ... of course it’s illegal. No one’s looking to ... obviously get into trouble like that and, you know, as far as I understand that’s, no one’s collaborating, there’s been no collusion and it’s going to remain that way. But the media, of course, wants to take a statement that Trump made, an off-the-cuff statement, about [how] Russia helped find the 30,000 emails and use that as a tool to advance their [story]. .. that Trump is ... a stooge and if he’s elected he’ll permit the Russians to have carte blanche throughout Eastern Europe and the Middle East while the Americans sit back and twiddle their thumbs. And that’s not correct.”
Papodop basically said Trump’s not interested in working with Russians, twice, period.
Even when this report delves into negative territory then it seems that main purpose of the report is to justify any wrongdoing as simply honest procedural mistakes.
This could have been written by Comey himself.
This is just further proof that Justice is totally corrupt in America now. Powerful people control all verdicts.
