But the sledgehammer to the face which that brings them is that if they come out of their convention with a candidate who didn’t even compete in the primaries after sabotaging Bernie in 2016 then the Berniebots will run Bernie or some other socialist third party...and they just might get as many or more votes in the general election as the actual nominee.

Well its been my opinion that the entire #seinfeldimpeachment is about taking out biden, ensuring the radical left wing Pocahontas (or someone like her) is the nominee, and she will go down in flames.
Knee capping the entire radical left wing of the party, so they can moderate for the 2024 cycle when they may actually have a shot at winning.
Biden runs and loses (which any d will lose in 2020) the radical left win will just say “SEE WE DIDN’T GO LEFT ENOUGH” and continue to gain influence and power, if however a certified lefty runs and gets crushed, that knee caps that wing of the party and they can moderate for 2024.
I don’t agree. Regardless of how this pans out the Democrat Party is not going to moderate. The massive momentum further left is out of control. The Kooks have gotten a taste of real power and they are intoxicated by it. They’ve also learned that they can intimidate the so-called “moderate” wing of the democratic party just like they do Republicans. Once that Pandora’s Box has been opened it isn’t going to be closed. My opinion of course. It will play out the way it does.
In a normal, legitimate election President Trump would be a shoe-in next year. I think the vote fraud is going to be a tsunami. And I don’t think the Republican Party is too interested in fighting it because of their antipathy for Donald Trump.
