Democratic Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s presidential campaign rally in Atlanta on Thursday was derailed by parents protesting the Massachusetts senator’s opposition to charter schools.

The group of parents interrupted Warren’s event, which was aimed at courting black female voters, with chants of “Our children, our choice!” and “We want to be heard!”

Good optics there, Liz. Out courting the black vote by kicking black folks out of your rally. Nicely done!

I swear, right when I think they can’t get much dumber...

The Democrat Party is coming apart at all of its seams.

This one is Blacks vs. Teachers Unions, which should be a dandy brawl.

How could the country have survived without the 17th Amendment? /sarc

"Democratic Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s presidential campaign rally in Atlanta on Thursday was derailed by parents protesting the Massachusetts senator’s opposition to charter schools [emphasis added]."

FR: Never Accept the Premise of Your Opponent’s Argument

While her heart is arguably in the right place, misguided Sen. Warren got herself elected to the wrong government, the constitutionally limited power federal government, to conduct her schooling-related socioeconomic experiments. She should have gotten herself elected to a state government so she could use unique, 10th Amendment-protected state powers to experiment with her educational ideas as the founders had intended.

In fact, note that President Thomas Jefferson had officially indicated in a State of the Union address that the states would first need to appropriately amend the Constitution to give Congress the specific power to dictate policy for INTRAstate schools, something that the states have never done.

Justice Joseph Story had also indicated that intrastate schools were hands-off to Congress.

"The power to regulate manufactures, not having been confided to congress, they have no more right to act upon it, than they have to interfere with the systems of education, the poor laws, or the road laws, of the states [emphases added]. Congress is empowered to lay taxes for revenue, it is true; but there is no power to encourage, protect, or meddle with manufactures." —Joseph Story, Article 1, Section 8, Clause 1, Commentaries on the Constitution 2

Justice Brandeis later emphasized the unique powers of the states to conduct socioeconomic experiments, ultimately depending on what the legal majority citizen voters of a given state want.

"It is one of the happy incidents of the federal system that a single courageous State may, if its citizens choose [emphasis added], serve as a laboratory; and try novel social and economic experiments without risk to the rest of the country.” —Justice Brandeis, Laboratories of democracy.

(Note that constitutional limits on states as laboratories of democracy is that states cannot establish privileged / protected classes or abridge constitutionally enumerated rights, and must maintain a constitutionally guaranteed republican form of government.)

Remember in November 2020!

MAGA! Now KAG! (Keep America Great!)

she needed Ayana Pressley to come up on stage to settle down the minority mammas.

Warren got a full taste of two things: 1) how people feel about shutting down charter schools; and 2) how people’s attitudes towards white folk have aggressively changed thanks to the hate-mongering and race-baiting encouraged on a daily basis by her party.
