Just saw this a little while ago and I was struck by how serious they covered this. It reminded me of the old CNN.
Apparently, the IG report has begun to leak and they’re trying to get ahead of the curve.

I know.... I could not believe I was watching CNN. They usually twist anything into orange man bad. Even Preet Bharara, a Trump hater, recognizes how serious this is. Ironically he said he would keep an open mind about it.... wish he extended that to Trump, but oh well.
Yes, they do appear to be easing their grip on the rope so to speak.
If the information contained in the IG report is the reason it could be a real page turner.

If Trump had not won, we would never know ANY of this chicanery and coup effort.
If Wikileaks and Judicial Watch were not around, or JW was less inclined to look into all this massive corruption, we likewise would never know much at all.
The DOJ has been pathetic, as it was under Obama. The IG comes out and recommends criminal charges (after tortuous naval gazing, and AG still decides to decline prosecution).
So the consolation is the story (history) will be told by Judicial Watch and Free Republic. Hopefully scholars and writers will condense the massive store of facts and make it all more comprehensable to the masses (e.g. Dan Bongino’s and Don Jr’s new books). Maybe our educational system will start educating again, and not just indoctrinating. Showing the evils of totalitarian state, loss of privacy, conspiracy to ignore and subvert constitution, etc.
Just maybe. Trump 2020!!!

The “but” in his statement is the tell.
“I have an open mind, but...” , means he’s already made up his mind that they’re hosed.

Even if they had no choice, CNN still gets an A+ for this.
