The founders used the strictest standard of citizenship they could find, natural born citizen, born here of citizen parents, naturally a citizen because there could be no alternative.

He may not be a citizen at all.
His mother renounced his US citizenship and made him an Indonesian citizen.

I have seen contracts from Indian firms that demanded the Indian employees send back software source code. I’ve seen Chinese citizens send back corporate intellectual property documents.
Almost every significant technological accomplishment by China or Russia in the past 75-years has been as a result of the theft of American-technology secrets or American industrial technologies...
