The man should have had a sandwich and a doughnut. While eating the sandwich, and the cops show, he could have thrown the doughnut into a corner, and when the cops dive for it, finished his sandwich.
Just road MARTA in Atlanta.
There are signs above every door about LAWS that you must adhere to while riding. One of the laws is no eating while on the train.
Someone sat there and opened a bag of chips and ate them.
There are LAWS about music being broadcast aloud.
Someone (while liatening to music on earphones) sang loudly out loud with every other word being N-——., while making elaborate hand motions which were not ESL hand signs.
Everyone breathed a sigh of relief when the latter disembarked the train.
Im going to bet the sandwich guy is a lib whos been protesting and voting for this kind of police state for 5-10 years.
So the police officer warned this idiot, politely, that eating on the platform was against the law and asked him to put his sandwich away. Instead of obeying the officer, this idiot acted like a complete you know what. A few minutes later, the officer sees this idiot eating his sandwich again. He tells the idiot hes going to give him a citation. The idiot then escalates the situation by disobeying the law enforcement officer, refuses to give him his identification, and basically acts like a complete you know what. This guy deserved to be arrested, and it is shocking that people on this board support such lawless behavior.
There is a rule, posted in all stations, no eating or drinking allowed in the stations and on the trains.
The rule likely exists because people leave food that attracts rats and other vermin.
The cop asked him to stop and he didn't.
We all have rules we agree with and don't agree with.
Should the cop simply overlook the violation? Which rules do you believe BART transit cops should enforce and not enforce?
Do you believe anyone should have the right to eating anything they want in the stations or trains?
Yes, some rules seem petty and annoying but they're there for a reason.
When we start letting people eat in the stations and on the trains and the rats start becoming a problem, do you believe the transit police should enforce the rules prohibiting eating in the stations?
It was a petty crime but enforcing it is better than a station filled with rats.
And I don't like the sandwich guy. He was deliberately being a jerk, likely to provoke the cop or force a lawsuit from the city. This is exactly how these race scams play out. He's just another creep looking for a 'racist' payout.
Amazing stuff. These cops never heard of police discretion.(Common sense). I guess they figure this was worth thousands of hits on this video, creating even more people who don’t trust or like cops.
Stupid...
