The Patriots were escaping and fighting for religious freedom, the right to bear arms to defend themselves against tyranny, escaping government overreach plus heavy taxation without representation , and the control by elitists who controlled every aspect of their lives.
I was sure that Nancy would have compared it to the start of the civil war, where a group of Southern politicians, clearly not in the majority worked to undo the will of the people who duly elected their political representatives.
