Every high school teacher should have to qualify for the position by passing one of the 8th grade tests from around 1900. You see them every now and then on internet postings.
Of course, most high schools would have to close on account of absence of qualified instructors.

But aren’t the tests “standardized” for the Texas curriculum?

Bullshit. And it’s a false choice. There are about a dozen things that could be eliminated. Texas history is critical to making good citizens.
I agree it’s a false choice and you could do both.
The black and brown students are also protected by social justice. Free to sell drugs, harass, threaten and beat up other students as well as teachers with no repercussions. These so called houses of education are houses of re education by the left
