Companies in Illinois, like State Farm, hire H1Bs and green cards because they are willing to relocate with State Farm to GA,TX, AZ as State Farm relocates all those jobs.
Many citizens won’t make that committment, even though some eventualy make the move anyway. (like me)
What citizen in their right mind wants to now relocated TO IL?
Smells like the companies hiring the Indian workers like paying them less than Americans...oh wait, they would never do that would they?
Disgusting! Most of those are probably not even legit H-1B, violating rules, cheating. Start fining these companies so it’s more expensive to hire cheap idiots than smart Americans.
H1B ROBOT REPAIRER WORKERS NEEDED
... imported from India.
Learn to repair robots in our future automated society. Cashier and service jobs like cook, are disappearing to robots. So instead learn how to fix the robots.
WRONG! India replacement workers will also be taking the robot repair jobs.
SCREW YOU WORKING AMERICANS
Democrats & Rinos & Elitists HATE YOU
The youngsters may not find a job. All that matters is price.
Its not just IT. The bank I work for also uses.....you guessed it....Genpact.
Of the 12 people I work with, I am one of only 2 Americans. There are 2 Chinese people, one Nigerian, one Turk and 6 Indians. No, I am not in IT. I’m in finance. The vast majority of these roles should be filled by Americans.
We need to drastically curtail H1B and other work visas. Shut down the cheap labor express.
Yes. The cost of getting a degree in the US has vastly exceeded the rate of inflation over the last 40 years. So they’re paying a lot more up front.
On the back end, they’re getting screwed again because all the cheap labor that has been imported has hurt their job prospects and depressed wages.
I know a lot of people here just love to bash younger people for lacking discipline and/or a work ethic. There’s some truth to this but what they don’t acknowledge is that younger people today are getting a vastly worse deal than they did 40 years ago.....when many of those who bash them now were that age.
If there were a big shortage of Americans trained in STEM fields, there’d be a shortage of those workers.....which would drive wages up. Which in turn, would attract more people to those fields when they saw the attractive wages on offer.
That’s how the market is supposed to work.
Instead now, corporations are allowed by the politicians to cheat by flooding the market with cheap foreign labor. That depresses wages and discourages Americans from going into those fields.
People respond to incentives.
Americans cant buy a job with all this foreign scum flooding the market.
We dont want to live in a country where dot Indians make up the 3rd app r 4th largest ethnic group. We dont want their filthy culture here. They, like Somalians, are least likely to assimilate. The chain migration is too strong.
I have nothing against Indians per se. Im so my against corporations being allowed to essentially cheat by flooding the market with cheap labor so as to crush the bargaining power of Americans in their own country. Thats not capitalism or a free market. Thats corporate imperialism.
Here’s the real rub on that.
American kids who graduate with a STEM degree have little experience. As you would expect from someone just out of school. And their resumes reflect that.
Whereas their Indian H1B and OPT competition is willing to write a fake resume that says absolutely ANYTHING. They will throw 2 or 3 years of unverifiable India experience on there containing every job skill under the sun. And employers fall for the lie.
You can’t compete in that dynamic if you’re honest.
Yup. A patriotic populist like Donald Trump is U.S. capitalism's last hope.
A FReeper (you?) has related the story of a job listing requiring 3 years' expeience with a software package that had only existed for 1 year - and H1B applicants submitted resumes claiming that impossible 3 years' experience.
With no difference between Republicans and Democrats.
A curse on all who don’t support shutting this program down, TODAY
