Not just a photo of trump with Epstein. A video of trump grabbing women’s butts and then walking over to Epstein, gesturing at the bevy of hot models, and whispering something so utterly filthy that JEFFREY EPSTEIN literally doubled over in laughter. Really affected my opinion of Trump the person.
I want to defend the President but I’m not doing it blindly like we did for the Bushes.

I suspect there are an ocean of indictments coming out of SDNY because they do not believe Trump should be President.
Barr probably has to decide who to allow to be indicted.
Campaign finance laws being broken rarely leads to arrests and I believe they are almost always Republicans who get arrested. Beto and Obama both had massive campaign finance law violations along with AOC aids but no arrest that I recall.
I am profoundly skeptical of SDNY.

I have lasted long around here, but if one has to worship a human leader, I’m ok with not fitting in.
I’ve learned that the reason there is hatred amongst groups is because people start to glorify their own and vilify the other. I think this kind of team cameraderie works great in sports. But in politics, we are talking about two different things.
1. The sincere opinion of how a place’s government will be set up and run. We certainly differ on it. We should debate, argue, and vote in good faith.
2. This is the more insidious point, that completely destroys point 1. The corruption inherent in leadership of all groups. We must see it on whichever side it occurs. We must not be blind to corruption on the political side we agree with. When we are so, we are giving our leaders more power than they should have, exponentially increasing their ability to deceive and steal from us.

Your saying a lot of platitudes about not worshipping people a couple of times and so on. So what’s your point? Are you saying you believe Trump has actually done something wrong? If so what?

The 87D chess has worked pretty well so far for all that’s been aligned against Trump so far.

But Rudy Giuliani’s former law partner, appointed by President Trump is the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York and Attorney General Bill Barr was briefed on this investigation from last February onward. Either the U.S. Attorney or his boss the Attorney General could have shut down this investigation.
