I'm sure Sperry remembers Special Prosecutor Fitzgerald, Robert Novak, Scooter Libby, and the whole "Plamegate" fiasco. He needs to have his ducks in a row before outing the "whistle blower". This story indicates that Price left the government in February 2017. I would think that in order to be covered under the Whistleblower law, the person would have to be a current federal employee, or at least employed when the July 25th phone call took place. The law doesn’t cover private citizens does it? It also doesn’t explain how he could have known about some of these things. Of course, it’s clear, since the whistleblower claims 2nd hand knowledge that there is still a mole in the White House.
