There's NEVER been a pol who hasn't "pandered" to different group; it's the way it has ALWAYS been. Trump actually panders less though. What's the matter...nobody has ever given YOU what YOU wanted/promised YOU something?

There is literally not a single thing false in anything I’ve said in this thread.
When your group of hyphenated people commit 90 percent on all interracial crime, it’s not conservatives who have the racial problem.
African-Americans see that there are more elected Black officials in the Democrat Party than in the Republican, so they vote Democrat.
Those who live in depressed urban areas vote Democrat because the Democrats are seen as the urban party, so they vote Democrat.
Trump is going to win more votes from African-American men than Republican candidates have won for some time, so is it really a great problem to complain about?
A two party system means inevitably somebody is going to be in the other party and if the parties are competitive they will tend towards equilibrium.
You won't have everybody coming over to one party unless the other makes some really disastrous choices.

That statement is 100% true. A cousin of mine is black. He was adopted along with his sister by my cousins.
Growing up, they were made to choose. They could be black, and by black all the Jesse Jackson crap you can imagine, or they can spend their life as the Other between races.
My cousin chose to be a redneck, his sister chose to be a black liberal.
There is very little room to be black and non liberal. The community will not allow it in most places.

I’m white with a tad American Indian blood, and I’m about as conservative in every way, as I can get. I don’t know how many FReepers there are, let alone their applicable races, but I DO know that when an article about something morally or criminally shocking is posted, there are many posts which rush to denigrate blacks, by guessing or confirming the race of the immoral or criminal person as black, While it’s true that there is more black on white, and black on black crime, than white on black crime, it doesn’t follow that it’s ok to make those assumptions, even when they’re true. That’s where the prejudice and racism comes in. I can’t imagine how demoralizing it is, to be black, and be subjected to that, or to see the crime statistics for blacks. I imagine it’s sort of akin to any other kind of prejudice -— poor, unattractive, wrong clothes, too fat, too dumb, etc. No fun. Often painful, in fact. But the difference is, all those things can be changed, except race. I imagine it’s bad enough to have to live with knowing those crime statistics exist in one’s race, but it has to be even worse to be pre-judged because of bad deeds someone with the same skin color has done. And I know -— “life ain’t fair”, but that unfairness is not, and never was okay. I just wish the satisfaction of those FReepers who guess the race of certain criminals correctly, weren’t so palpable. But then, I’m naive enough to assume conservatives should be thoughtful, considerate people. Or at least I wish they were.
