In my opinion, dupping foreigners used to making corrupt payoffs into making “investments” borders on fraud.
When Clinton was elected, my wife and I were in India. We had both been removed from US politics for some time, had little interest in it and had not followed it.
I was optimistic.
I was a physician and had stopped practicing medicine for several reasons, and, when I heard how Clinton's wife was "brilliant" and was "going to fix US health care," I fell for it. I thought that at last a brilliant lawyer would do exactly that. I was excited and considered returning to the practice of medicine.
I returned to the USA before my wife did. She's extremely perceptive and brilliant. She took one look at Bill Clinton on TV and said: "No. This is very bad." She figured him out in one glance.
I soon realized the truth about the Clintons also.
Today I still say: "Where's the outrage?"

An apparently bugged phone conversation in which a senior US diplomat disparages the EU over the Ukraine crisis has been posted online. The alleged conversation between Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland and the US Ambassador to Ukraine, Geoffrey Pyatt, appeared on YouTube on Thursday. It is not clearly when the alleged conversation took place.
