You could be on to something. Trump knows someone leaked the phone conversation with the president of Mexico and also the Australian leader. Since there are only a few CIA types that transcribe the call, he knows the leakers info didn’t come from them, otherwise it wouldn’t have been in the complaint.
However, if he had his trusted staff tell others that certain people were on the call, he could quickly identify who the “Senior White House Official” was who was stabbing him in the back.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the White House already knows who the “whistle-blower” is and (if there is a God) knows the “whistle-blower” colluded with Schiff or his staff to produce this complaint.
Nothing could be sweeter than having San Fran Nan bring up impeachment in the House and as the vote starts having Schiff frog-marched out of the House floor. The optics would be priceless. (Yeah, I know I’m dreaming about this.)
I don’t think it’s the first time the Trump team has flush out a leaker that way.
The “whistleblower” blew it.

Would Volker qualify as a “Senior White House Official”? I believe he works in the State Department. Could be though.
