There is a moral to this feel good story of the day: Don't go visit your neighbors at 4am with your faces covered, especially when the neighbor is apparently a trained marksman. I love a good start to the week. Well done homeowner.

Their term of residency was somewhat abbreviated.

the homeowner is currently being questioned about the details of the shooting I hate to say it, but, did they know each other? Was there any other kind of illegal activity/relationship between the men prior to this? Why did the home invaders select this particular home?
Probably just selected the home at random and the homeowner righteously protected himself, but sometimes questions are raised.

Those fellas (dying in the commission of a crime) got all the process that they were due.

***allegedly shot and killed***
Makes it sound like they may not have been shot or even killed.
To: Steely Tom
Seems as if these fine fellows picked the wrong home. Better luck next time.

Overuse of “allegedly” here. Ain’t nothing ‘alleged’ about being shot and killed.

The news media usually say that some action is “alleged” if it has not yet been resolved in court. So someone who shoots someone “allegedly” shot them, in the media style book.

In before the “Should have used a bigger caliber!” or “Needs more time at the range!” comments.

Those guys won’t make that mistake again.
Just waiting to hear if they were turning their lives around, being aspiring musicians and all that.

Or, it could have been a man protecting his family from violence.

You can bet that the Police will be looking for evidence to charge the homeowner with homicide.
His best strategy is to remain silent and let his lawyer do all the talking. It is going to be expensive. Self-defense is always expensive (but better than the alternatives).

Another mass shooting that the demwits will lump into their antigun agenda.

If this happened at my house my American Bulldog/American Staffordshire Terrier/GSD/Lab cross would erupt, followed by my Great Dane, followed by a terminal statement from my good friend, Mr. Beretta.

A recent article pointed out it will cost you roughly $50 K to survive using your Concealed Carry Permit. Rationally, I would conclude if a home invasion is occurring at your home of less than $50 K in value it probably is cheaper to just let them have it. The home, that is.
