Too bad yours doesnt.

As I said in an earlier post, it made my life much easier. When they did test for history, my students passed at a higher rate than for other subjects. But then it became a matter of cost. Missouri’s tests at the time got away from multiple choice and more essay, extended answer type questions. The tests were graded at an unused airport in California by unemployed college grads. Each answer was given a score by three readers. If the scores differed by too much the test had to be rescored. This ended up costing so much that extras like history were abandoned.

The tests have apparently reverted to multiple-choice questions given exclusively on computers. Results come back to the school within days, instead of months.

Her next car needs to be a stick shift vehicle.
