I live in an area outside of Los Angeles - and have never seen a rat problem this bad. We've spent thousands on exterminators - and still the rats keep coming! My neighbors on either side have also had exterminators out - repeatedly.

I'm surrounded by rats! ON the wires, under the house - on the city council, in the statehouse. Rats, rats, rats! All of them...

Tasted like Jack Rabbit to me, The texture was more tender but taste was on line with Jack. I know one thing, A couple Jacks make one hell of a chili, So I’m thinking so would rat. Should probably be peeled first of course. :)

Native American Wood Rat Recipe:

Toss the whole Rat on a bed of coals turning now and then for about an hour burning off the fur. Remove and grind to a paste with stones. Then shape similar to flat bread and bake on a flat hot stone.

Tastes like Rat Pizza. :)
