Porter Rockwell (”The Mormon Avenger”) must be spinning in his grave.
Time to sell that second cloak and buy a sword.

The church I attend had a push for CCW registrations. I would be shocked if several church members were not carrying during the service.
Can a Concealed Handgun License person able to carry in other churches?

Certain trained ushers are armed at our church. We also have vets and LEOs that are regular attendees that are also armed. We have worked with our local SWAT team on several ocassions with simulated active shooter drills so they know who we are and vice versa. And what to do when they show up. We have also installed a several security cameras, inside and outside the building, that are constantly monitored. We use two-way radios so everyone on the security team knows what’s going down. This would NOT be the church to try and pull off some liberal/SJW BS. It would get em killed. The SWAT team probably wouldn’t even need to respond...just call in the coroner with a body bag(s).

It varies state by state, but most prohibit conceal carry in houses of worship. Some stipulate that the pastor has to give permission to do.
Like any other so-called “gun free zone”, don’t enter it unless you’re armed if you value your life and those of your loved ones. Concealed is concealed. I’d rather be tried by 12 than carried by 6.
In Utah, it’s up to the church to make a legal declaration, which the Mormons did early on, or to post a sign at the property. Our Catholic parish discourages carrying, but doesn’t legally prohibit it, as the Mormons do.
This is nothing new in Utah. I don’t know about Idaho or Nevada.
always shoot first . . . that way they know youre armed - O. P. Rockwell
Thanks
We have done much the same, but have you addressed what I think is the biggest security issue facing most churches? Which is a bad divorce and the non-custodial parent trying to take children from your Sunday School service.
This doesn't get headlines like a church shooter, but it is a real security concern and shooting the malefactor in front of his/her kids just doesn't seem to be the right solution.
We quietly limited vehicular access to just our driveway with some landscape features, and are always ready to block the exit with a security team vehicle. No shooting necessary -- let the police handle someone who is reduced to fleeing on foot.
a rule I follow except on k-12 grounds (thank you Biden), federali non park property, and when I know I am going drinking with friends. Stores, churches, theaters, gyms, libraries, bars and restaurants if I am not drinking, I am carrying.
Paul carried a sword everywhere he went...
We can carry concealed on all state school properties in Utah. Many of our teachers / staff are armed. My shooting sports club offers free lessons.

Yep. Its the more common event. Weve had two incidents of this very thing. Our nursery requires one to be on the list to take a specific child for this very reason. Nursery workers also have access to one of the security radios. We had a non-custodial divorced man try to remove his kid from the nursery without permission. The workers would not release the child. He got furious. They radiod for help. The security camera monitor was also catching it and called the cops. In a few seconds, several ushers confronted the guy, he commenced to swinging and was immediately wrestled to the floor and held till the cops arrived. One of our armed ushers was right there in case he pulled a weapon. Fortunately for all, he didnt.
The other case involved a stranger that tried to convince a girl to leave with him from Sunday School. He was immediately confronted by an usher who was alerted by radio of suspicious behavior by a stranger from the security camera monitor. He, too, was surrounded in a matter of seconds and held till the cops arrived. No weapons involved in that one either.
Doubling down on a death wish....wonder if Mittens has any inputs...
Just a couple of would be mass murderers getting plugged in the back, before they could hurt many people, would go a long way in curbing this bad behavior.
